Here are some interesting journeys travelled on that small set:
Watch Heyes and Curry in The Man Who Murdered Himself, when they set off with the dynamite. They load the wagon, drive all the way up Station Road, then turn round and come all the way down it again.
Then there is their odd arrival in North Rim in The Girl in Box Car #3. They ride down Depot Lane, past Livery Row, turn up End Row and somehow find themselves at the bank, which is in Livery Row. It turns out to have a secret entrance however, presumably by a tunnel, because they emerge again at night back into End Row (and then get chased right up Depot Lane, where Curry hides under that scaffolding they never quite finished in Wickenburg).
Sarah and Jim make good use of public transport in Something to Get Hung About. They catch the stage in Depot Lane and are next seen getting off the train in Station Road. You would have thought they could have walked that hundred yards.
If you visit Universal Studios and want to get an overview of the Western set, try looking down on it from Barham Blvd thanks to Steve Rabin for this tip |
